Jeremy sees himself as an experienced objective facilitator and educator, who works hard to make life easier for business owners, managers and governors by bringing out the best in people, making connections, and ensuring knowledge and talent is utilised to maximum advantage whatever the situation! He has over 20 years’ experience in consulting, has held senior management and governance roles, and worked throughout NZ and internationally with diverse entities, people, and cultures

Jeremy has a strong community spirit and passion for supporting youth development (through sport and music), collaboration, innovation, change leadership, good governance and responsible risk management.

Dr. Dana Cumin

Dana spent five years working and living in Japan before returning to NZ to complete her MCom (first class honours) and her PhD in Management from the University of Auckland. Her PhD research was focused on “collaborative innovation” and involved quantitative studies in NZ and the USA examining knowledge sharing behaviour, specifically how knowledge protection, commitment, and top management support affect individuals’ knowledge sharing in inter-organisational research and development projects.

Dana also lectures at the University of Auckland Business School (Management and International Business Department) in international business and management at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Previously, she assisted with developing a Graduate Diploma in International Business & Innovation studies (receiving NZQA approval) as part of her role as a Research Manager at ICL. She was specifically responsible for writing two full NZQA courses (Open Innovation and Applied innovation) and editing a further six.

Dana also has a PGDipBusAdmin in Communication Management from Massey University and has been an invited chair for the Business & Economic Society International conference on production, regulation & information technology.

Dana is well placed to assist with engagements in the SME, NFP, Health and Education sectors and in delivery of Collaboration & Innovation, Workshop facilitation, Strategic Planning, Training and Education, and Research services.

Lynette Ngaheu

Lynette has been a Sports Tutor at the Whakatane Campus of Te Wananga o Aotearoa for many years and prior to that was a PE teacher in Bay of Plenty Schools.  She has been teaching in the Health and Fitness industry for over 24 years now, is married with 3 beautiful children and grandmother to another. 

She is also ex World – Pan Pacific Oceanic BMX Champion for Elite Ladies, NZ #1 BMX Champ 8 times and North Island #1, and represented NZ in many countries before suffering a serious accident (through BMXing) that cut her career short. Lynette has coached Volleyball teams to national and international victory, facilitated fitness boot camps with the Whakatane Police,  captained women’s soccer teams and trained many elite athletes through sports psychology to achieve optimum results. 

Lynette is very passionate about her role as a Sports teacher, tutor, and coach – with her students’ success being her reward. She has joined the team at Bendall Advisory to make a further contribution in the Sport, Fitness & Recreation sector and by delivering Training & Education services to clients or other sectors in need.

Ngarangi Toko

Ngarangi Toko

Advisor

Ngarangi is a personal trainer and a mother to three beautiful children,  currently residing in rural BOP.  She has always had an interest in administration and fitness, where as a teenager would run and facilitate Fitness Classes in her hometown.  

She joined an organisation in 2010 where her main duties were in administration both reporting, financial administration, and using AO and MYOB software. The contracts held within the organisation were, Rongoa Māori and Kaumatua well-being.  It was during this time that she was awarded the non-clinical worker for 2012 for administrational duties. 

When she completed her Certificate in Small Business L4, in 2014, she assisted in the formation of an MSD approved OSCAR program with a small Māori Organisation.  All administrative components were undertaken by her with approval for 30 children.

Since then, she has gained skills by way of certification in L1-L4 Computing, L3 Money Management, L1-L6 Te Reo Classes and on 2020 became REP registered, successfully completing L4 Certification in Ngā Taonga Takaro. She currently assists with student support in the 2021 class for Ngai Taonga Takaro, and was a guest speaker at the 2018 Graduations.

Led by Tania – Rose Taitoko ( CEO ). Ake is a Chartered Accounting practice based in Whakatane and Tauranga, providing accounting, advisory and mentoring services tailored to Māori business. Ake will support us in working with Māori businesses, business and accounting advice. The support is around all key target sectors, including the SMB and Education sectors , whilst assisting us with deliver of Strategic Planning, Governance, Collaboration & Innovation, Financial Risk Management, Training & Education, Performance Reporting & Benchmarking services and other specials projects where their expertise will add value. Ake will also assist with land utilisation and land feasibility studies.

LIGHTNING HUB

Located in the Whakatane CBD and led by Tristan Vine, Briton Williams, and Matthew Davis, the Lightning Hub is a co-working shared office space for innovators, entrepreneurs, consultants, start-ups and businesses who are looking for a creative, fun and flexible environment to work, relax, collaborate and build a business community. Our Bendall Advisory practice is based at the Hub, and we are very pleased to be actively collaborating and receiving support from the Hub.

SMETRIC INSIGHTS

Led by Warwick Russell and based in Auckland, this specialist practice will take a lead role in delivery of Business Intelligence and Advanced Data Analytic services, as well as providing complimentary advisory capability in other sectors, services, and locations outside of the Bay of Plenty.

A Health & Safety compliance practice led by Isabelle Pryde and based in Whakatane, SafeStaff  will support us in delivery of Risk Management and Training & Education services as well as work in the SMB sector.

MORTGAGE LINK & INSURANCE LINK

Led by Peter Wilmott and Savannah Wilmott and Mike Rainey based in Whakatane. Peter  and Savannah will help us in meeting the financing and insurance / risk cover needs of SMB business start-ups and business owners.

RICHIE BARNETT

Richie is a former professional rugby league footballer and captain of the New Zealand team.  He is now a successful Health & Wellbeing coach and businessman based in Auckland, with a massive heart! We are delighted to be collaborating with Richie for the benefit of our youth and others within our community whose health and wellbeing needs a boost! He will be of particular support in providing services to the Sport, Fitness & Recreation, Health and Education sectors .
